over Karo-kari

Karachi: A man axed to death his young wife and her alleged paramour at Qazafi Town in the jurisdiction of Shah Latif police station, here on Wednesday.
The victims, Shazia Muhammad Yousuf 21 and her relative Jan Muhammad 35, were axe to death by Shazia’s husband Muhammad Rashid in his home. Station Head Officer of the Shah Latif Police Station Zahir Shah told PPI that police have arrested the murderer, who tried to flee from the scene after completing crime and recovered instrument used in murder from his possession. He said the accused killed his wife and his relative over Karo-kari.
The bodies were shifted to Jinnah Postgraduate Medical Center for autopsy.
The SHO further quoted by the area people that the accused married Shazia several years ago and he used to beat her regularly over home disputes.
Police lodged the FIR against the culprits and initiated further probe.
